Cheers guys, I’ll have a look at the options. The crazy thing is that when I bought the D3 it came with a complete set of genuine Kawasaki manuals, parts book, assembly manual etc but they were all for the later B1/C1/B2 and there are differences. Yes the ignition was next up for me, I replaced the carb boots yesterday just in case, just the same, that's easier than taking the bloody carbs off again.

The needle position is wrong .
On the 650 it should to be 4th from the top so it needs lifting a notch.
Also have you had your choke plunger seats done ?
Yes you did the plungers, I thought the manual said 3rd notch, will double check, cheers
