Re: Running rich on start-up

Re: Running rich on start-up
Just a thought, do you close the petcock when you park up, if so, is the petcock fully cutting off fuel supply when in off position?

Motorcycle design reached its peak in the 1970's and Z1 / Z900's are as good as it ever got. Great pictures

Re: Recommended Workshop Manual for Z900
Genuine Z1 dealer workshop manual. Doesn't get any better than that. The engine Info is relevant to all Z1/900/1000. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272672957689?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 The copy I got from the States was basically this item, it wasn't anything like £120 th...

Re: Recommended Workshop Manual for Z900
I got a modern copy of a Z1B workshop manual from American eBay. You probably can get similar for Z900. The postage was a bit expensive but worth it. It's spiral bound and has all the info I need, I have a s/h Haynes I got off of eBay for a couple of quid. Between the two they cover most things. If ...

If it is terminal - the cases can be split with top-end intact.

A bit of a worry
My Z1B has started to momentarily jump out of third gear. I am thinking maybe selector fork problem. If I have to strip the gearbox do I have to completely dismantle the engine or can the gearbox be got at by splitting the crankcases, or could this be symptoms of something else. Any advice would be ...
