Z1000J / early ELR / Z1100 Fuel Gauge

Does anyone have one of the above? After behaving like a windscreen wiper since the first ride out yesterday the needle lasted a whole 61 miles before the shaft snapped. I'm assuming that there should be damping in the gauge rather than the sender? I'm not bothered about the condition of the case or...

My old 2:4 wasn't too bad, but I had my cut-down seat rebuilt by Saddlecraft in tha Toon and they did an exceptional job! :D

Minor progress. A nice man in Germany sent me a package, which arrived this week. Last night I got home from working away and just couldn't help myself. It's nothing much, but is actually a large part of the jigsaw! :D http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l125/Coosey/Zed/DSC_8282_zpsebcp4byy.jpg http:/...

So Winter has let me make a bit of progress. With a 2-star starter damper it starts much better, though does still occasionally skip so I'm think that I maybe should have installed a new bearing on the starter gear at the same time. I'll do that when I rebuild the motor (hopefully not before next Wi...

Give KMUK a call as they should be able to help with a dating letter. At least your Italian document proves that you won't have to pay VAT.

Yes. What bike is it? The DVLA have a list on their website of recognised owners groups, clubs and manufacturers from whom they will accept a dating letter. You will need to find the most-suitable person to provide this, who (unless it's something really random) should be able to date the bike from ...

Are the originals aluminium Al? Mine has always had hideous GPz550 clocks so I wouldn't know.

This week I took delivery of my new clock arrangement and need to decide how to suspend them, so actually the Kipkawa photo may give me inspiration!

Z1000J Clock Bracket

Evening all,

Does anyone have one in any salvageable condition before I make one? I'm going to butcher it anyway so I don't mind a bit of damage etc.

Cheers!
