BTW, weather permitting, I'll be off to Bike Nite at the Ace this Friday night if anyone fancies joining me. Might be able to join you Steve, what time would you be setting off? I get home just after 6pm so about 6.45pm is the earliest I could do. Didn't get any footage of Kop Hill but the sound of...

I'm no expert but I would be happy with that . Mine takes a few minutes at least on half choke before I can knock the choke off completely.

I measured it approximately (with everything in place), it is about 280mm wide. The geometry also differs slightly from a mk2 frame, basically sod all fits without work but I hear a z900 a4 tank will fit :) . It's an ideal frame for fitting a modern rear end, I had a zzr1400 swinger knocking about a...

There is also the FJ1200 engine that has been put in a zed frame. Best to look through some of the projects on the site for help with running gear, obviously some swaps require less work than others. If you can find a zed motor, that has to be the simplest option and might be cheaper that paying out...

Well that didn't go to plan, I made it to Wing (8 miles or so) where the torrential rain had made it's way up under the tank to cause a horrendous misfire. I left it a while to dry out a bit and managed to get it started again only for the rain to continue. I did see an H2 go past so I would bet tha...

That is good news, I wasn't sure if I would need to upgrade the carbs to get the most of the motor. Solid advice, thanks lads, I will go for a refresh of these carbs and get hold of an airbox too. :)

Carbs for 1105cc

After toying with selling the zed I rode it to see the old man today and it was so flawless and fun to ride that I came to my senses and decided I would throw some money at it instead. Anyway, it has the original carbs on it that tend to flood so they could do with some attention. The motor is 1105c...
