Strap wrench turned up today, £12 off Amazon,
The job it was to be used for took less than 15 seconds but worth every penny
Thanks for your advice

Tightening z1000 rotor bolt

Hi guys
How do I go about tightening the rota bolt without having the special tool to hold the rotor and not having the equipment to make one.

Re: Front chain drive sprocket

I usually put a split link in then ride it up to my local bike repair shop and ask them to fit the rivet link for me approx £5 then take the split link home again for next time

Cheers for the info, but my switch being from the USA doesn’t have the lights on and off switch therefore no wires to put into a plug

Brake disc repairs

I have spent the last few months looking for a rear disc for my Z1000mk2, luckily I have now got a good condition replacement, during my search I contacted a company in the UK to see it they could use the disc centre and put on a new drilled outer, they replied that if the centre was serviceable the...

ART piston suppliers

Hi Does anyone have details of any suppliers of ART pistons, it appears that you need to use ART piston circlips, the new clips I ordered ( non art) are too thick for the groove compared to the ones removed and you cannot locate the 2nd clip into the groove as the pin has not gone far enough across ...

630 or 530

Hi everyone
Which setup do you guys prefer, a 630 chain and sprocket set up or a 530 set up,
Does the 530 have any advantages than the original 630 chain and what needs to be done to move to a 530 chain and sprockets

Cheers

Re: How to dissolve crystallised brake fluid

My MK 2 had a similar problem, I stripped the front master cylinder down (piston out) and run it though my ultrasonic cleaner, then when dry the crystals had turned to dust, then blew it out with an air line, took a couple of goes mind you, If it’s that bad it will be the same in the piston chamber,...

z1000 mk2 transmission cover

Hey everyone
Has anyone have a spare transmission cover they are willing to part with,
It appears that at some point the PO fitted a front sprocket the wrong way round as the chain has nearly cut its way through the cover.

Cheers
Gavin
