It is the same size as my Z650C rear disc, in as far I can measure mine on the bike but it has been messed with. The mount holes, vent holes (x10) thickness etc are the same as my C1/C2 rear disc, but as said they do not have countersunk holes from the factory, a PO has done that for some reason . T...

If you have the later vacuum operated Z650 tap, then any of the Suzuki GS/GSX 550/750/1000/1100 vacuum taps (not the faired ESD/F models though) from the same period of time will also fit without much difficulty. The angle of the fuel outlet is different on the GS/GSX tap but it does still fit. The ...

They are perfect once you chop the basket bit off and bolt on some ply to the lower rails.
And the best part is they only cost a quid :D

Brilliant - but they are free at Tesco

Wanted: Centre Hub Spacer

Has anyone got a spare centre hub spacer for the rear wheel of a Z1000 or similar they may like to part with please? The one that fits in between the rear wheel bearings. It should be 20mm bore.

Thanks :)

You can buy touch ups/aerosols and or paint from http://www.rsbikepaint.com/en-gb/colours.php They are a 3 stage process for the candy colours It is not cheap, but it is accurate. I had some candy super red from him for my Z650 to paint a spare side panel. The thing to be aware of of course, is that...

On the Z650 Metmachex, both spindles measure 315mm long from the base of the head to the end of the threads. The pivot spindle is 16mm and the axle spindle is 17mm, which is 3mm smaller than on the Z900/1000 axle spindle. I have the spindles in my garage from my Z650 MM arm but not the swingarm itse...

The axle is smaller on the rear of a Z650. It's 17mm as opposed to the Z900's 20mm so you would have wheel bearing issues at least.

I used those ^^ and they do the job OK, but I needed to sleeve them as they are a little too small for the shock eyes. Some black 25mm nylon overflow pipe from B&Q did the job nicely  Its kind of a shame to buy a 6ft length for 4" of bushing though, so I have a load if you need some.

It sounds as though someone repaired it in situ. rather than removing the head to do it. That is what can happen if you repair that way. Unless the thread is crumbling, it should be OK to leave it in place as the debris will likely be cyl head debris where it was tapped oversize. Helicoil repairs ar...

I have Dyna leads and coils and have no bother at all .... That said, I did put a small amount of clear silicone sealer inside the caps to keep water out when I fitted 'em to the leads. I do also spray WD40 inside the caps if I need to take em off for any reason. With the sort of rain we have seen t...
