Thanks for the help so far, it seems to go away straight after it has started, I think it is worse if started on the side stand, although I do try and start it upright.

Clattering sound

Hi, I am getting a clattering sound on start up, the oil px light goes out straight away and it runs fine. I have a manual cam chain tensioner fitted.
Any clues.

Weather looks good if cold, good coverage of bikes in CMM. Be nice to see how much mine kicks out before I change the head to the 8 plug, gasflowed, lumpy cam :D

Cheers for that, never were any good at electrics that's why I trained as an Aircraft engineer and not Avionics. As you said about the plug leads I will wire them the same way as they are originally.

Cheers for the info, could they be put in parallel as well, so that each coil (3 ohm) ignites the same plug as if they were standard. Just trying to get my head around the iginition side of things, never have liked the electrics.

Hi, I got mine done here, http://www.ccaquablasting.com/. He is near Colchester, well worth the journey. If you look in his gallery, you can see pictures of my cylinder head. He has some awesome bikes in his garage and is quite pasionate about bikes as well.

Key

Hi, I am after a ignition key for a Z1000J. I have lost my key, I only need it for the petrol cap, as the bike does not have an ignition switch, so any old key will do.
