This could just be summat simple like the battery is tired, if your trying with the starter the battery voltage may well be dropping below the level to produce a viable spark, try a better battery or kick start before you drive yourself insane looking for issues that dont exist :) jiust sayin

Fom the factory the Keys with the bike opened all the locks i.e steering , ignition , helmet, and seat/tailpiece, the D1 keys where the short blade type. The D2 / D3 where changed to the longer blade unit but as they were not officially sold in the UK that is debatable , Also there was a limited num...

20 is caning it mpg. 35 to 40 should be achievable on normal riding depending on engine air and exhaust set up. Motorways are not good on 650's with standard gearing which is fairly low. ............................ :!: ............^^^^^ :gom ^^^^^ this, the gearing is painfull on motorways :down

Gus I ditched the Ballast resistor and put green3 ohm Dyna's on mine and it has run faultlessly, so there is no good reason not to use the chinese Dyna copies :!:

Keith, I was spinning it with the starter but the terminals were connected to a car battery and spun it very well, I'll check for 12v at the coils. Where, regarding the points and condenser, do I check? My first couple of bikes and my first car had points and I knew it inside out but that donkeys y...
