Re: HowieD's 'arris
Winter update: So I pulled my finger out and found I had some parts already to sort out the Silencer Mounting. I had a large diameter clamp that just required the welded bracket sawing off and the welds filing off to allow it to fit. The stay was I thing supplied with a Harris Works Collection exhau...

Re: HowieD's 'arris
Thanks for your replies. There was some slack and the end can can be pulled up. Work in progress to test the bump and see if the exhaust leaks at the headers.

Re: HowieD's 'arris
Regarding the Exhaust - it seems to be a headache at the moment as the Silencer flaps about a bit and a bolt on the Swinging arm will hit it on full bump. I can push the Silencer out of the way but it will move back. IMG_7977.jpg Plus the welded on bracket is split and soft metal. IMG_7976.jpg I tri...

Designed to give mid range and descent gound clearance (Always cringe going over sleeping policemen). Then a Laser End can. The below pics are when it was being lined up - tac welded in...

GPZ1000RX Alternator
Hello, Anyone know where I could find help with an Alternator issue. I'm helping with overhaul and rewire of a Magnum 3 with a GPZ1000RX Motor. The trouble seems to the Alternator: It has an Integrated Circuit R/R so there are two wires only - Dark Red and Black. With the wires connected the battery...

I think Phil the previous owner made them. They look like a cable tie with a short piece of clear pipe between.
ah right - zoomed right in and can see that now. Thanks for the reply.

Re:
Howie, Do these switches work like the Motogadget ones, press once for the lights to come on, press the same button for high beam? As you know using a standard handlebar switch I have to wire the park lights separate so they are on all the time, using these would be the same or would it? Hello - re...

Re: HowieD's 'arris
If it's just the one valve and everything else, timing, springs etc check out ok then you need to check the guide clearance. If that one is slightly on the tight side it will nip the stem when hot and the valve won't return under spring pressure once it's been opened by the cam and the piston will ...
