Re: HowieD's 'arris

Old Engine strip down: All the Valve Guides and Valve Stems were worn beyond the limits and the VG Oil seals were hardened. So that is the cause of the oil consumption. 2017-03-02 10.37.45.jpg 2017-03-02 10.37.56.jpg 2017-03-02 10.49.57.jpg 2017-03-02 10.53.01.jpg 2017-03-02 11.22.47.jpg The Block h...

Re: HowieD's 'arris

So. After a few months of running I found the oil consumption is pretty awefull despite haveing a full overhaul of the engine afew years ago - then into storage while the frame was being sorted out. A round trip to Kings Lynn and back - 146 miles used the oil from the top mark to the bottom mark on ...

Re: Electrics problem

Maybe consider replacing the Points with a Dyna-S Electronic Ignition - better Starting and running too, plus it wouldn't need as much maintenance.

5-3/4" headlight woes

Greetings, one of the Winter Projects is trying to update the Headlights on Horace from twin 60/55W lamps to two LED type - 'cos loads more light, less power consumption and very see-able Halo lamps added. I took a round file to the holes to make them longer then I just set up to have the advance correct and left the idle setting to be...
