Re: LTD Engine Refresh
I would helicoil it. I’ve done a number over the years and never had any trouble at all.
If you do go down the helicoil route I’d pay a bit more and get a decent quality kit!

Re: Z1000a2 mag wheels.
This post reminds me of my post below where I tried to identify the wheels taken from my A1. I never even advertised them as I wasn’t 100% sure what they were from originally, all I knew was that they fitted my A1 perfectly. Some good knowledge being shown by you guys! http://z1ownersclub.co.uk/phpB...

Re: Z1B indicator re- chroming
Hi, I’ve had two sets of genuine Kawasaki indicators re chromed, one set from a Z1000A1 and one set from a Z650B1. The Z650 set came out much better than the others and I think it’s the case that the less corrosion/pitting you have, the better the finished item will be. The ability of the polisher t...

Re: 1975 Z400D
Hi,
I need to talk about the differences between the balancer shaft mounting brackets (Different part numbers) and their orientation within the engine, particularly relating to the rounded shape of the ends of each of the 4 brackets.
Cheers.

1975 Z400D
Hi Guys, Is there anyone on here who has or knows someone who has a good in depth working knowledge of the engine internals of the 75/76 Z400D twins. I have a couple of questions that are very specific and would like to contact someone who knows these mechanically odd engines inside out. If anyone c...

Re: Double the troublezz. AMA style Racecrafters Z1000 and Moriwaki Z1R Turbo.
Cheers Rob. I live in Sheffield and that’s who I use and I have used for many years. Mostly, the service is great but they do sometimes lose bits. I’ve just had two full bikes worth of everything that was zinc including spokes and nipples etc and they lost the large centre stand shaft from one bike....
