I would agree with you that the standard plastic guard is a bit ugly and chrome looks better,. I dont think the ltd chrome guard screw holes are in the same place as the plastic one,and it looks like a thin strip of metal to me, I bought an after market one off ebay, ?5.00 , was a great deal.its as ...

always turn off the petrol aswell incase it gets stolen , and hopefully when it stops and they don,t realise petrol is off.

if thats the case does anyone know the specifications for a 1977 kz1000 28mm carb i.e main jet and pilot jet sizes, ( will buy new ones) . as details i have are 1977 26mm, or know where i can check them out

Have dropped them off , they have 3 screws at top , air screw at bottom of float bowls and most importantly measure 28mm in diameter, also have the open throttle stop screw at side of pulley , which according to manual tells me it is a 1979std 28mm carb,I have a 1977 kz1000, so might explain a bit o...

i have cleaned the tank changed the petrol tap, and put in 4 new pilot jets, now 3 of them are overflowing petrol from overflow pipes, before i take them off again and adjust the float levels , could there be any other reason for this , or any thing else to check?
