Thanks Philippe , it does have 5/8 stamped underneath but I tend to agree it may not be Kawasaki
The project is sapping my funds so I may have to compromise but I know it will drive me crazy until I replace it

Thanks guys ......found it now and also found the correct earth strap amongst the spares ...... that's saved a few quid they are expensive

Hello , could someone tell me where the battery is earthed to the frame on a Z1b please

I presume the black and white flying lead goes to the loom earth near the brake switch wires ?

hi Paul .I would suggest the new one in the box is Z1a/b and the black one z1 72/73 ..... I may be wrong

well that wasn't too bad .....and they are translucent green numbers just like I was after

My first attempt at clock restoration . I have gathered parts from all over the place and think I now have enough to put a set of Z1B together from this motley assortment I have had some covers powder coated at Triple S and sourced some transfers from America ......now to sand down the old faces and...
