Took the headlight/clocks off the front of my Z1000 recently - cleaning and repairs. Labelled all the wires. The bike has no indicators and there is no wiring for them from the idiot lights. Started to put everything back together and can not get any life out of anything - starter, horn, lights, etc...

Re: Rear Shock Spring Compressor - To Buy or Loan
Good info & pic ta. I was a bit concerned with access cos the ZRX shock has a plastic sleeve sitting just inside the spring at the lower part - and I didn't want that to foul the hooks. I might give the ratchet strap idea a quick try first - there will be no hook access issue - but I don't know...

Re: Rear Shock Spring Compressor - To Buy or Loan
So after trying several things to get the springs off, finally bit the bullet and ordered some of those Sealey spring compressors - the claws did look a bit chunky at first, but did fit between the coils worked great :D http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/becker-pics/20170315_180901_zpskp84lbkd.j...

Re: Suzuki TS125 early 70s “Duster
Fork stanchions are away being re-hard-chromed in Luton at Philpotts - should have those back in a couple of weeks. Fork legs have been blasted back to bare metal, but surfaces is not good enough to polish, so going for some sort of dull chrome or nickel plating - anyway a non-bright chrome finish m...

Re: Suzuki TS125 early 70s “Duster
Its been a while since I posted an update - I've been rather busy with work stuff, but have been working on TS at weekends. Had a real fight with a rusted in fork bolt with a rounded off head  http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/becker-pics/TS125%20restore/Yoke%20bolt%201_zpstlkwkd98.jpg No...

Re: Rear Shock Spring Compressor - To Buy or Loan
Have researching bike spring compressors myself recently as restoring some early 70's TS125's and a Garelli. Borrowed some ones for car springs, but they are just too big/chunky. Looked at those Sealy ones, but the feedback about them is not good and the claw looks a bit chunky to fit between the co...

Just collected my TS125J tank from the restorers - thought you might be interested in some before and after photos - was worried the tank was beyond saving, but Steve at MTS did a great job - although he did say it was one of the worst he'd ever done http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/becker-pic...
