I bought this from GBear a while ago when I was gathering to parts for a Z1R Gardner thing and I liked the compact size the whole thing's about the size of a Krober... anyway I have enough trouble finishing the stuff I have already started much less on...

My A1 has a different lock for the seat and the ignition it's been in the family since it was a year old and none of us ever changed it, so there's a good chance it's always been like that.

Can anyone tell me which way up these two springs on the damper rod of the 1000R go? I'm sort of assuming the thinner coil one goes above the thicker one?

I think the J type heads seem to be a bit dodgier in the cam cap bolt region than the earlier ones. How much of that is to do with the erroneous torque setting in the manual and subsequent over enthusiastic fettling I don't know...
