They are correct but someone has sawn off the original mounting that was circular & threaded to 10mm & have just welded a piece of flat steel in its place

Does it have the " Wired George" mod feeding power to the coils ? That mod fried 2 dyna coils for me. You'll see a small modern-looking black box and some extra wiring under the L side panel or under the tank, with wiring feeding to the coils. It wouldn't have had anything to do with the ...

If the ignition is left on for long periods it will burn out the coils

How long is your spindle? measure from the end of the thread to the inside edge of the opposite end of the spindle

By looking at the photo of your spindle it looks like its not the correct one for the bike. it should only have one washer which is 4.5mm thick & you shouldn't have that amount of thread protruding out of the castl nut
