Hi all I'm trying to fit a z1000 a2 barrel onto a z900 bottom end and it wont fit. I thought this was a simple swap, anyone had any experience of this. Is it practical to drain each float bowl separately, compare the volume in each carb, and then determine float height balance ? I always use a thermostat with an oil cooler. Oil that is too cold is as bad for an engine as oil that is too hot. Unless there is physical damage , float posts broken off, stripped air screw threads etc I've never had a set of carbs that are actually worn out. The only non replaceable wearing area of the actual body is the slide bore and I've never had a carb become unusable because of that. LISTEN TO ROB HERE...
