well it appears that I can fit the later grab rail if I fancy ....... ill have to see how it looks and decide

Looking at my parts again I seem to have the correct yoke but it has the steering lock cover missing The headlight is a Stanley 001-0799 fitted with a lucas domed headlamp glass which I am guessing is wrong On another point the bracing under the headstock does not have the holes in as I have seen on...

basically they are the same .... there is some cosmetic difference to the earlier arms up to 75 as they have a narrower crinkled look to the arm above the chain adjuster .........and of course the date code for the purists

the early Z1 carbs have a lot of differences but the main one is the flat tops on the early carbs and the much higher " domed " tops on the z1000 / Z1R ....... they wouldn't look right really
