Hi,
Is there a reliable and accurate way to measure cylinder bore diameter without stripping the motor?
I presume you'd have to somehow stick some clever measuring device through a spark plug hole?
Thanks
Rick

Re: Clutch adjuster J type three bearing.
Are the engine casings different to accommodate the different adjuster mechs?

Re: Clutch adjuster J type three bearing.
Don't suppose anyone has a photo of the other version with the helical spiral?
(EDIT: just seen the diagram of the other mech on the previous link)
Are the two mechs fully interchangeable?

Re: Clutch adjuster J type three bearing.
So you effectively refurbed and upgraded the standard mech. Mine currently has a lot of the wear / slack in the various components, so might attempt something similar :up The thread on the adjuster nut that goes through the casing is partially stripped too, but I can't seem to find a replacement par...

Re: Clutch adjuster J type three bearing.
Apols if I've missed something from an earlier thread, but are those parts standard or something you've fabricated?
I've had a bit of an issue with my clutch adjuster mech recently.

Re: For Sale: Kawasaki mag wheels
Even if the wheels aren't that popular, I'd have thought the discs, cush-drive, sprocket, etc. must be worth something if sold separately?
Whereabouts in Staffs are you?

I admire your honesty.
I'm sure a lot of folk would have come back saying they "found x or y (not diesel) after stripping the carbs, and now I've sorted it" !

I've recently looked into these, so I'd be keen to hear how this goes.
What did you order and from where?
Chris - any update on the lithium battery ?

1000J chain guard
Can anyone point me in the direction of a custom chain guard that will fit a 1981 1000J ? I've got a standard one that's a bit of a mess but probably repairable, but just fancy a custom one. I've seen some for a Rex (Beowolf) but don't know whether the spacing for the bolts is likely to be the same ...

Re: Gpz1100b1 crankcase takeoffs
Sorry no, I don't have any detailed dimensions or drawings, and now it's all bolted on the bike. I suspect HEL might freeze over  if I did have these and just gave 'em away ! The standard pressure sensor screws into the top, so that's the same dimensions if you've got one to hand. The securing ...

Re: Gpz1100b1 crankcase takeoffs
I'm not certain, but I suspect the take-off might be specific to the air cooled GPz1100 and the ELR Z1000R/J motors. You may find one on here (or FleaBay) but they're not common any more. If you really get stuck, then I know that HEL Performance are capable of making one. I bought a prototype kit fr...

As far as I can tell, the tank is pretty solid, although I've not tested it.

Re: Gpz1100b1 or same fuel tank ..
Hi,
I’ve got one that should be ok.
I’m away for a week but can send pics when I get back if interested?
Currently it’s ELR green.

Re: GPZ1000RX Motor
Loved my old 1000RX
They don't handle as badly as their reputation suggests, although I did need a new rear shock (old one seemed to seize) and once I'd bypassed the anti-dive the forks worked much better too.
Great bike though.
