From memory, all UK Z900-A4'4 came with the strap fitted to the seat & the grab-rail with indicator mounts fitted. It was the American bikes that did not have a strap fitted to the seat.

I was in Triple "S" today & couldn't help but notice what looked like a couple of Z1/Z900 frames all nice & shiney black & awaiting collection. One looked like it had a seat base with it amongst the other parts.
Anybodies project on here ?

The clutch on my 955i sounds like it's similar in design. On the Triumph it's possible to fit the clutch cover with the operating arm in the wrong position. It looks correct, but when you operate the clutch lever it doesn't disengage the clutch. Sounds very similar to your problem so might be worth ...
