Beautifully clean and detailed job you are doing there. My all time favourite too, twin front discs, makes the bike look "right" somehow......

That is superb, excellent job you have done there. Love the wire wheels and the twin disc arrangement makes it look really balanced....

Re: z1000j3
Very nice, great looking bike,
I have one the same but in black and gold, and just like you I bought it new in 1983. The J3 was the only model J to have the Z on the sidepanel in red, hence where my username comes from. Mine was £2499 from the Shrewsbury Kawasaki Centre for the record.

Re: Yamaha YBR125
Thanks Bud,
Always worth asking....not sure I agree with half as good, twice the price though..
I have a few Yam RD/TZR two strokes and yes, prices are going stupid as you say. Original 250/400 seats in need of tidying are fetching £700 or more at the moment....

Re: Yamaha YBR125
Hi,
Thanks for replying.
I was really after a road bike to be honest. I'll check this with the missus though as it will be her that ends up using the replacement. Shame it's not a stroker though, you would have had me hooked......

Yamaha YBR125
Guys, Yamaha YBR125, surplus to requirements. Got it for the missus to take her CBT on and get some road experience before taking her test. Great little reliable learner bike, not your usual poor Chinese build quality leaner legal. 9621 miles, 11 months MOT, good condition, new chain and sprockets, ...

Guyz,
UK spec Z1000J3
I don't want to sound like an anorak here but can anyone tell me which bits should be gloss black and which should be satin black?
I figure that as I have to do everything anyway it may as well be correct. Most bits are (badly) powdercoated gloss black at the moment.
Cheers,

Re: Fuel tap
Thanks Guys,
I thought it was discontinued as an OEM part so happy days...not sure I'm so happy about the price though......
I don't have one to repair either owing to a slight chemical mix up in my ultrasonic cleaner. I basically turned it into an Alka Seltzer..

Any help appreciated,
