Re: Fred the Zed

I took Fred out for a shakedown on Saturday. Feels nice and stable and pulls strongly. Brakes are bedded in now and are a revelation, especially with the RaceTec fork modifications and Ohlins shocks. Thought I'd take a few photos in it current state. Fred 23092017 1.jpg Fred 23092017 2.jpg Fred 2309...

Very nice.

How much of a difference does the 1045/1075 kit make over stock in terms of torque / bhp /rideability?

So all alterations designed to go faster - more stable etc - so how much faster is it? A mate of mine had - and is still having - problems getting CR carbs to run smoothly with his CBX - Was it relatively straightforward fit on yours? Looks like an ideal track day bike - might surprise some on newe...

That is absolutely peachy.
Loving that Nitro Racing exhaust and Astralite wheels especially.

Re: Cadwell Park 24/25 August friendly trackday

Sorry, I would have been very interested to give my Z1R a shake down, but I can't get time off at such short notice. I know what it takes to organise these events so I hope the places get filled and you get to break even.

All the best

Re: Fred the Zed

A stunning looking bike... what do you reckon on the Tarozzi rear-sets? Hi Gonzo Most really rate them, but I found them a bit of a faff to fit. The rear brake linkage seems overly complicated to me but once fitted, they work well. They are noticeably set back and up and work well with flatter bars...

Re: Fred the Zed

What's the general consensus on the extended tail unit? I've not seen another Z1R with one fitted. I really like it as I think it draws out the classic(!) lines of the Z1R. ..... Although I've kept the original just in case I change my mind.

Thanks Keith. Much appreciated. Perhaps we'll get a Shed on the stand at Stafford?
