Having lead (balls or otherwise) rolling about in the tank will do fook all to slow the acidic affects of Ethanol, nor will it make it burn any better, nor will it stop the fuel from going stale.

It is seriously good stuff GB, this stuff not only neutralises the water absorbent properties of Ethanol (which then forms acetic acid, which is what eats away at everything) it also stops fuel going off (stabilises it) and allows it to burn as cleanly it would were there no Ethanol present. In 2012...

Or you can run the normal unleaded crap and just add 10ml of this stuff to each tank full. http://www.manhattanmotorcycles.co.uk/p/18689/motorex-ethanol-booster-stabiliser-250ml My bikes stood over winter with zero corrosion damage this time, both fired at the very first touch of the button. Even my...

I have just fitted Nissin 4 pot calipers along with a Daytona 675 radial master cylinder to my Z650. Getting the calipers spaced and set up centrally to the disc is a pain, but I am just about sorted now. I picked the mounting brackets up from Ebay. They are OK but maybe a bit too heavy duty for my ...

Quality control IS key, but you should not dismiss any tyre manufacturer just out of hand as being poor and plump for a name brand believing you will automatically be making a better choice, you may not be. I have known of IRC personally for over 30 years. They are a very professional outfit. I work...

Re: IRC tyres

Does anyone know who stocks IRC tyres in the UK? http://www.irc-tire.com/en/mc/products/commuter/gs-11/ Don't waste your money - with tyres you get what you pay for. My advice is stick with the quality brands: Avon, Bridgestone, Continental etc. Yeah right, cos most of those don't make tyres in the...

I actually work for the UK DID chain importer, that's how I know about the problem with hammering pins ;) Many of the the cheaper clone tools don't come with user instructions. This is a link to the KM500 instruction sheet - it operates in the same way. http://www.didchain.com/cutrivt.pdf It downloa...

It depends on what brand of chain you have. If its a DID chain the links need to be flared over using a tool something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KM500-DID-Style-Chain-Splitter-Riveter-Motorcycle-Quad-/200893850861?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item2ec634e4ed That is a cheaper copy of...

Well, not that I am scared of the wife you understand  , but I used my garage fan heater in the end. I just stood the calipers in front of it for most of the day and let the hot air blow over them (come to think of it - I could have used the wife for that too). It must have done the job, cos I ...
