Nice one .
Glad you are sorted.
Don't forget to order the protective boot as well to keep the crap out.
Hope the brake is better than the old BMW twin cylinder bikes they altered the piston size after a couple of years but they were never great and really suffered if you use cheap pads.

Gday Vic Has the master cylinder piston got a hole for a push rod to locate in or just flat ? The old BMW twins with rear discs used a similar master cylinder that was horizontal mounted with a remote reservoir. Hi Ralph I should have one as I have about 95% of a GPZ1100A1 rolling chassis I have used the motor from. Will try and have a look later on as its all in boxes in the back of a shed and I will have to have it all out to find it and it's bloody freezing out there at the moment. Let me know if you nee...

Hi Steve
I also thought that the GPZ1100 Bs had 270mm discs the same as the As and the Z1000 J but no they do not they have 280mm discs but still retain the 7 hole mounting unlike the A1 Unitrac that have 280mm discs but only 6 holes.

Wanted 280mm seven hole discs for GPZ1100B2/Z1000R2/Z1000J3

Hi there
Has anyone got a pair of 280mm 7 hole discs they would sell me.
They must be the 280mm 7hole as fitted to the GPZ1100B2/Z1000R2/Z1000J3.
Thank you
Roger

I have now found that my problem is not with the calipers but it is actually the discs that are wrong on my bike as it needs a pair of 280mm 7 hole.
A big thanks to everyone who contacted me with offers of calipers and grovelling apologies for wasting their time.

Hi Olly I can confirm your calculations. If you Google GPZ1100 DISCS you will get conflicting information some sellers say that the B1 and the B2 are the same a few say they are different. I spent about 10 minutes on the phone to Phil at ZPower and he did some checking. https://www.z-power.co.uk/mer...

Now I am totally confused.
Can you tell me if any Kawasaki models use 280mm discs with the same mounting as the 270mm discs ?

Hi Taffus/Paul I think we may be getting our lines crossed a bit here. Olly was referring to my set up when he said about the spacers. But I think he has sussed out the problem. I have got 270mm disks. The wheel did not come with the forks and may well be a B1 wheel. so I need 280 disks this will be...

I have had more of a look this afternoon. If I clamp the pads to the disk in the right place using large vice grips with them located in the caliper mounting both holes are out of line. I did try replacing left for right but this did not help. If I have to I will fill the holes and drill and tap new...

GPZ1100 A1 Uni Callipers on GPZ1100B2 forks and wheel

I have transferred this to the Bike help section from the Wanted section. I hope you guys can help/advise me. I have a what I believe to be a set of GPZ1100B1 forks and a GPZ1100B1 wheel with 270mm disks . It has been said that GPZ1100 A1 unitrac callipers are a straight replacement for the original...
