Looks like the disc is 10mm bigger. I had a similar issue. Ended up getting discs made to suit.

Sounds relatively easy to bypass it, certainly seems achievable looking at the diagram.

I would also like to know a bit about this unit you mention too Mark. I have a brand new Z1000R USA wiring harness and it may need this unit attached unless i can find out exactly what it does and then bypass it.

I may come back to you on that. I’m trying to get a normal bulb fitted if I can get what I need. I need to know what the wiring connector looks like. The one that connects to the bulb holder. Anyone got any pictures of this connection and wiring?
