it's a "cocked" thread: turn it clock-wise to remove it. edit: BTW the shank of the screw is slightly bent by design for some unknown reason...

it looks like the previous owner got the cam cap screws from a ***** at a boot sale!! :lol: that said; if the dowels are intact it'll probably run OK as is, so easy enough to rectify with a bit of tidy tig welding. a well viable candidate to restore as it seems mostly complete and original I reckon....

try your local PIRTEK, they should be able to crimp modern hoses onto your existing unions or supply the whole lot using yours as patterns. pretty cheap too.
