Cheers for the compliments. Well up to the wheels now and l %#@ up big time. I had a brain freeze and went and had both wheels sandblasted. Instructions were to blast the paint of, well, they went and blasted the whole bloody wheel, including the machined edges of the spokes and the outer rim. I kno...

Painting Cast Wheels

Couldn't find anything with search on painting the MkII cast wheels in Ye Ol Forum. I am after a close to original finish on my wheels, has anyone had any success with finding the right colour match. Its definitely not gloss ( and that looks just plain wrong), doesn't appear to be matt either and a ...

And the difference is :?:
They were sold to me as MkII but they may possibly be the later A4. No point butchering them if they are, best I just keep an eye out for A3 ones :)

is the middleman or the site to use to get into the japanese ebay. It'll open in japanese but top right you can change it to english, put Kawasaki Z in the search and be prepared to spend a bit of time looking at whats available.

Japanese Ebay !!

You go through a middleman that takes a cut but an excellent place to pick up original hard to find parts !! Only trouble is google translation so if there is any doubt then best not to use it. I have bought a fair bit via them and haven't had an issue.

Fork Cover

When I got the MkII it had those cheap aftermarket Fork Ears for the Headlight on it. Attempting to bring it back to standard and somwhere along the line I picked up some repro Fprk Covers ( Part No. 44064-025) Went to slip them on last night and oops too tight. Obviously not of the original pattern...

Thanks for the replies, was a bit of a minefield out there but looking at the PMC seat complete and the price which they state includes a 'steel' base I don't think you can go past it. The pattern looks ok in the little photos and the quality of PMC & Doremi in the past has been good so will tak...

Lots of spares around but not the one I want, lol :D Compo I reckon if you got a few made up and charged accordingly for materials and time you wouldn't have a problem shifting them. My hand will go straight up for one. Will keep looking but not liking my chances at this stage, so if you go down tha...

Z1000 MkII Seat Cover

Did the search and found some great info on seat covers, however nothing really specific to my model. I sent an email to Phil at P&K seats who sent back he doesn't do either the seat cover or the foam, very difficult for this model he mentioned. With that now gnawing at me, to go out and buy jus...
