Problem solved. I have had a mail from the vendor who recognises that he has made a mistake. He is going to send me the correct part FOC including postage. So it's a big "ups" to the forum and also to the guys at vintagekawasakiparts on ebay and also their store which is called Vintage Cyc...

Air filter element problem

How hard should this be. I bought a new filter off ebay. The part number was correct for my model (Z1) and the seller claimed it would fit all A1, Z1-A and Z1-B bikes. The seller claims that he has never had a query on this part and he has sold 15 of them. He has 3000 plus trades at 100 percent so c...

Thanks for that guys...What I'm going to do is just remove the rims, hubs and spokes...Clean up the spokes using stainless steel wool or that other synthetic stuff, then get them re-zinc plated (white). When I pull the nipples I will be able to tell if they are white or yellow by what colour they ar...

Were the original spokes cadmium or zinc plated?

Were the nipples white zinc or yellow zinc plated?

Mine need doing and I want to get it right first time. Thanks....

Phone around the platers, and find out who is going to empty their tanks shortly. They will sometimes put a rotten old set of pipes in last thing before they empty, I doesn't matter that their "fluid" get all contaminated at that stage of the game.
