This is inspirational stuff. I'm betting that after all the engine problems you're glad you did it though.

If the bike has been sitting for a long time sometimes the valve stem seals stick to the stem. Then when the valves move the seals tear.

I saw a post from Jeff Saunders about this a while ago. It's a common problem with Zeds that have been sitting.

I spent $120 NZD on those damn iridium plugs. The gap is so small on them that if you are running a bit rich, and only a little bit rich, the effers foul and stop sparking when you are starting from cold and have to be on the choke. Even when I was warmed up and running I felt they weren't as good a...

hi floydz1...I was on a run with some classic Jap guys on Sunday. One of the guys had a restored two stroke and the bolts just didn't look right, and his spokes definitely weren't right and the whole project, although bright and shiney, wasn't right. So I'm one of those snobby pricks with the part n...

What I'm doing is using the original spokes and nipples. A brass brush then various grades of wet and dry to smooth the finish. Off to the cleaners then to the platers and Bob's 'yer uncle. Nice Bright Yellow Zinc for the nipples. It's going to look great! http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c130/toyc...

How do I remove the rear brake pedal?

I've got the rear wheel off so I've got room to work but it's got me effed. I can't remove the adjusting bolt and nut as the pedal travel is restricted by the exhaust pipe. Anyway, once it's off how do I get it back on without losing a finger etc. The foot pedal holder is off also, I just don't get ...

Hi Pigford, Yep, those needles you posted out to me worked a treat, thanks again. It was just that the mechanic I was paying megabucks to didn't know WTF he was doing with them. So I pulled the bike off him and got it around to the guy who fettled my CB750 and he soon had it sorted. And as the guy I...

Hi Mick, Yeah, I was based in Blenheim for 17 years as an Air Traffic Controller. Made many a trip to Robin Hood Bay in Port Underwood for a surf and also down to Mangamanu, Iron Gate and Meat Works and other surf breaks on the Kaikoura Coast. Three foot and glassy was my ideal, I didn't like gettin...
