I think it is 1/4" UNC.
It measures 20TPI and just under 0.25" (my bolt measures 0.2460") thread diameter.

As the neutral and oil pressure light and starter motor all earth through the engine do you have a good engine to battery earth? Just a suggestion as I'm not an electrickery guru.
