zrx1100 fuel gauge testing

Don't know if this should be in this section, but I know a few of you have zrx's :roll:
Anyway, does anyone know how I can test my actual fuel gauge ? (before I start blowing fuses).
3 wires on the back; Brown, White with Yellow stripe and Black with Yellow stripe.

My Zed was rebuilt there in 1988/89 and I have a load more invoices from 1991/92 for spares etc. I believe a lot of their records were lost in a fire in the early 90's. I think it was the early 90's when they had to 're-build' / moved. My z1r came from one of the spanner men their '88; he'd trashed...

Quite a nostalgic find there dave; one of my bikes originally came from the old 'clay cross kawasaki'. They had a good collection of old zeds on display for many years. I spent many hours and much money in their lol.
