Brembo discs

My Z1300 special has period Brembo discs up and I would dearly love to get a set for my A4 special. I already have Harrison 4 pot calipers for it, but would like better discs, but I don’t want modern ones.

Anyone know what folk used for racing backing the day?

Twin headlights?

I’m toying with the idea of twin headlights for my A4 special. Either a twin light bikini type handlebar fairing or maybe just twin lights some how mated together. Whatever I do needs not to be too angular. If there is something period I can get my hands on, happy daze :D Any thoughts? I don’t want ...

Re: Fuel Injection

I’m wondering if one could fit th entire system from another bike and simply remap the ECU. I’m probably being too simplistic….

Fuel Injection

I have just dragged out my old GPZ1100 Unitrak which I restored years ago and then never got around to finishing in as much as it ran lean and it then got parked up and ignored for many years. I decided to drag it out, sort it and sell it .... but having dragged it out I've had a change of heart and...

Unitrak fuelling woes

My unitrak has been festering in a garage for a long time. After a long resto project it ran weak and there seemed little to adjust, other than potentially an adjustable return pressure regulator which I do have, but haven’t actually used. I did measure the fuel pressure which was spot on and have s...

Re: GPZ1100 unitrak

I have one that I restored and haven't used ... well really at all. Last time I tried to put a battery on it there was a bit of smoke that killed the battery. Have been too busy and injured to get it up to my workshop and ascertain and fix the problem. If you're interested give me a shout; I spent a...

My twopenneth worth: I am currently building a special and and thinking about rear sets; none too radical as I am old  I want them more for the looks than any serious scratching. Re: Re-inventing the guide wheel

That seems to be an excellent idea for refitting them. I can see some lathing coming soon. As an aircraft trained fellow, belting the crap out of things with a hammer goes against the grain.... That thought has just spurred another idea - I have bought a genuine Kawasaki arbour, but I could machine ...
