NSK BL305n is the bearing you want . I think TZ cranks use them .

Re: Z1000 output bearing
The cut outs allow more balls to be fitted into the bearing , a high load bearing . A normal bearing with circlip grooves will not have the same load capacity as the standard bearing . If you fit a normal bearing it will collapse under the load and you will have to strip the motor again . Do the job...

Re: Kawasaki ELR
Any paddock stand I have seen and used for standard swingarms are shit . Get one of the scissor type stands and use it on the lower frame rail where the centre stand would go . Just a thought , look at how they were run on the original '81 bike . Change the fittings to allow the hose to run down the back of the cooler , along the lower frame rail and up the back into the engine . Do that and they never get in the way .

John Holden ( Taffy ) has the best 1100R I have seen and is considering selling it . It was featured in Classic Bike August 2017 and still looks just as good . I have told him it is worth £10,000 but he may be open to a bit of haggling . If you are interested let me know and I will pass on your deta...

Re: Lawson Replica
It's just an '81 J1 that has been modded the way Kawasaki USA did . Buying a genuine 1000R is going to cost you thousands more than a J . The only hard bits to get are fairing mounting brackets . All the good stuff can now be bought from PMC . Seriously , buy a J and modify it . ZRX1100 swing arm , ...

Buy a 1000J and make it into a Lawson rep . That is what Kawasaki did . Save you a shit load of money .

Re: Top shock mount extensions
If you fit a wider swing arm the lower shock mounts are moved further apart . These move the top shock mount out to compensate .

Re: 1978 Z1000a1 Wiring Harness Routing
My advice would be to use the pics in the Kawasaki workshop manual , spend a wee bit time looking at all the pics and you should get it right .
