I have used both dyna and boyer and never had any problems with either, there is an upside with boyer for me though, they are made just a few miles from where i live and you can just walk in and get your parts.

Very timely post. All the threads for the cam caps in the head of my GPz are fooked. A couple previously repaired with helicoils but they pulled out with the bolts. Had a large assortment of those, which i got from a german company that was installing a plating line for the company i worked for, they are brilliant inserts and a few went in my old nail when i had it, i'm down to my last few now.

if it was running ok before you put the airbox on, try running it again with the k&ns and if it runs fine change jets and needles, the 1978 thou also had different ones. main 105, needle 5dl31-3rd groove, pilot jet 15, i will look in the garage tomorrow to see if i have some, but i have a feelin...
