No! It will just be those 3 hex headed bolts at the back of the rotor that have come loose... Re-tighten.. You could get lucky!

I'll be interested to see how it goes on the Z1000-A2 carbs. If it is still not running on #2, swap leads from #3 and check! If that don't work, you will have to check that #2 carb for blockage or air leaks. Also, have a look at your advance retard mechanism for lack of movement of plate, at the bac...

Yellow, are you using the standard air cleaner and is it a repro?

If you are check that a small piece of sheet metal between No 2 & 3 has not moved over partially cutting off air to No.

Yellow, have a look at the small orifice in the lower centre of the throat nearest the engine. I'll bet it's blocked, unfortunately you will have to remove carbs and clear it with something like a "primis pricker" (a fine needle at rt angles to a long-4" handle). Compare that orifice ...

Thanks Guys, Managed to pick up the bearing I was really after. It was the thinner ball bearing on the output shaft. Original Read NSK BL305N. Replacement was NACHI 6305-2NSE9NR. [Aust $28] I had to remove the fibre dust covers To allow oil to penetrate, also it came with a full circle retainer ring...

Where do Yu Getem ~ Gearbox bearings

Thought I remembered seeing those two bearings somewhere?
Drive shaft bearing and Sprocket Bearing (cluster/ Layshaft).
Couldn't find them at ZPower or Z1Ent?

Does anyone know if the modern bike > 2000, has under bucket shims.
I have had shims fly out when just testing (turning over with kick-start} with high lift cams.

What mods do you have to do to fit under-bucket shims to Z1 series.. Same Bucket?

Mr B, I've seen the leg set up in a vice held vertically by the two studs at the bottom. Then get a medium grade linishing "Scotch-brite" belt (usually Blue in colour) and cut it in half so that you can work up and down the leg to gain the desired finish. Once this is done, you need to loo...

That's interesting stuff Z1B, I never thought of that idea of extending the arm. I maybe thought it would not have the clearance for any adjustment of arm length. I suppose the downside (if any) is that your clutch lever travel for release would be slightly longer

Corky, nothing much goes wrong with this clutch basket, other then those radial springs (3 fine, 3 course). if they are loose or cracked they will rattle (this is known as "clutch rattle"). You can sometimes turn them in their mount, however, if there is no lateral movement they will do th...

ChrisU, thanks for your reply.
The Z!E site seems to have sizes incorrect of that adapter nut.
I measured the tank outlet thread dia as about 21.6mm. So it's probably a 22 mm OD thread. Also it is not clear which double outlet Pingel cock
matches up with the adapter.

PINGEL Pet-Cock for Z!

Thinking of fitting a Pingel petcock to my Z1. Intended to buy an Adapter nut (20mm-1/4 NPT) or (18mm -1/4Npt) ref Z1E site. Two queries.. 1. Which adapter? 2. Any drama's? i.e. Fouling on side covers or Carb problems due to its length etc. Any advice appreciated. Perhaps, Jeff from Z1E would recomm...
