Next year we w...

What pressure did the pop on at? Did you have to go to 50psi?

Nope, nowhere near to be honest - the front seated properly as I was pumping up to a setting of 40 psi. I reckon it was somewhere around 30 :up

Re: Latest Drama - Tyres Not Seating Properly??!!

SUCCESS!! And no injuries! :D Bought a tub of 'Remaxx Mont 2000' bead lubricant, deflated the tyres, cleaned the inside of the rims up, put loads of the stuff on the beads and inside the rims then pumped them up. The front 'popped' pretty much straight away and the rear centred itself on the second ...

Re: Should I attempt to tidy up the wiring loom ?

I'd probably leave the loom as it is in case you take out something that you shouldn't! You could always tidy it up by wrapping any loose/unused cables in self-amalgamating tape or insulation tape. Thanks for the suggestions all - every day's a school day and I'm glad this isn't a one-off!
I've ordered some more tyre paste and will give it another go when I get it. Lube and pressure it is - I'll let you know how it goes! :D :up

Okay, so four years later and I'm on the home straight with the Z1R but this is the latest drama! I've painted and polished the wheels and after checking various threads to make sure that I can use tubeless tyres with tubes on '78 cast wheels (not tubeless rims), I've fitted BT45's with tubes. The p...
