I also think it could be fuel not oil. I was thinking the exact same too as i was reading through the thread ! If that was Oil thats leaking into the exhaust port you'd have other magor sign's & symptoms (&most likely route would be a crack from ex valve bucket bore ...but never heard of th...

are you sure that you are not suffering with slightly more seal stiction than usual in the calipers, especially with the pistons being stainless rather than chromed finish ? I have experienced this before with stainless pistons. It can show up as the calipers having slack on the discs which you can...

Thanks Jim , I hear what you say but I was / am confident it's not a trapped air issue as with the methods I've used I'd definately would have moved it mate. I like the idea of your split bleeding though & THANKYOU.

Long story "not so" short ! Front brake system bled every which way & NO air present , yet I have 50mm of lever travel until it's firm & it should be only about 25mm ! Both Calipers have just been rebuilt with new S/steel pistons & all new seals & new Pads. Master Cylinder ...

Thanks Johny B, thats a good start.... Funnily enough I've found a set with bleed screws on the side (meaning they were for calipers mounted behind front forks) that are 38.15mm dia . So perhaps the Z1000 A2 has this dimension also. RegardZ. Just checked out my mates Z1000 A1 " Factory " ...

Dragging Brake

Thanks for help got problem down to fluid pressure. Released bleed nipples and wheel frees up. Pumped up pressure so brake was binding then released banjo bolt at master cylinder so no blockage or problem from there down to calipers. Stripped master cylinder down again to make sure all ports clear ...
