Lovely bike. I think I could put up with a bit of wrist cramp and back pain for an occasional run out on it ! :D

Re: Time to move on...?

Fred, dont sell your z1r...save up the funds, and keep your zed indoors...and lc in the garage. Ive had the pleasure of owning a 4lo (mars bar) and a powervalve (better bike ) in the past, but I still have my zeds....would I sell my mk2 or my gpz1100 to by another? ?.No .! You will miss that bike. :...

Re: kz1000st

Well, I'm pleased to say that my st is now sold. I am really thrilled , as it has gone to a great bloke that will without doubt keep it in fine order and will be able to give it the attention an old zed requires.,,,, and I think I've convinced him that now he is a zed owner for the first time in his...

kz1000st

Its with a heavy heart , but my st is up for sale. As some of you will know, I have a bitsa project which I tend to spend a lot of time with and its my intention to use the funds to get it finished. At £3250, I think the bike is a brilliant step into zed ownership, but also a great addition to any c...

Re: chain riveting

Been using the whale splitter/ riveter for years, never had any issues, and spare component back up is quick and easy. You dont need a big hammer, one correct strike is all it takes on all applications. As kev said it could be the big hammer in the wrong hands that is the scary bit.

The majority of oil suppliers are doing bike speciric oils of various grades. Ive always used putolene or similar without any issues, semi synthetics, but over the winter I have discovered that rockoil and belray are now doing a range of mineral oils of 10 w 40 and 20 w 50, (I have used 20 w50 in ya...
