Z1b maiden voyage
Lovely ride out in the sunshine , mate taking the Z1b out after a full nut and bolt restoration including engine , this is the first good run out it’s had since rebuild and she ran as sweet as the day she was born

I’ve ordered some 9mm pipe this will give me plenty to play with , as time goes by and parts become obsolete u have to overcome problems somehow

Thanks , I think I found a solution by cutting the larger one to length fitting it to the bolt and then rotated it on my light grinding wheel until it fitted just right it took a fair while as I was doing it slowly but I got it to fit and move as it should . Now to the other 3 .thanks for your help

Hi anyone able to help me ? I’m looking for 4 rubber sleeves that fit over the bolts that go through the front callipers ( off my 81 st ) as 2 of mine are perished\damaged , z power has tried with some that was as close as he could find but they are to big as u can c in the photos , I don’t need any...

What a great site this is I put a wanted add in for a Z1b hub and got a hub and a wheel ! . I’m on the hunt again for a wheel spindle and speedo drive for this wheel are there any fellow members out there with these that they want to sell to help resurrect another British zed ?

Hi A club member who can’t get on line for some reason is after a front wheel hub for a z1b that they want to sell ?
And poss another disc and calliper but these are not essential as he will just use the one for now .

Poss check the wires coming from electronic ignition on the right hand side this happened to my st and it was the wire touching on the exhaust pipe after it melted through . This happens on a z rally in 2000 mended it with tape to get home . If it’s not at least you have tested one thing

Tank question
I’ve taken a tank of a bike to do a rebuild and I was wondering what I could put in the tank to swill it around to help prevent rust coming , I’m thinking possibly oil ? Has any one done this ? Any ideas would be appreciated

Where about s in Gloucestershire are you as I am in south Gloucestershire and there are 6 off us on Zeds and we’re out around the cotswolds , this year as we all know it’s been hard to have meet ups but things are getting easier
