Look on ebay for seller called Cleanparts4u based in the USofA. I got an original toolkit for my Z1B off them a few months back, only part missing was the pliers but they sent a pair from a later model just to complete the set until I can locate the correct pair, pricey at £200 though! They are rea...

Steve, Just checked your build out in projects, may I say it is extremely impressive mate, the twin lamps and oil cooler fit really well, can't wait to see it finished, please don't sell it (unless you have to) it would be like losing a limb if it were mine.

I have heard some folk say they had to file the billet caps a touch to get them to fit, but mine went straight in, may be that they have used dif...

Pliers from Z1B toolkit

Anyone have a pair of pliers from the OEM toolkit for a Z1B? Correct pliers have 'Butterfly in box' also known as 'circle in a square' emblem embossed on them. NOT large 'K' symbol tools as these are for the A4, Z1000 etc. Got the rest of the kit but struggling to find pliers, someone must have some...

PJ' Chuck key flying over the garage is better than in yer fizzog mate! I remember from my apprenticeship days in the late 70's our machine shop instructor took great pleasure in chucking (sic) the chuck key in the metal waste pile outside if he found you leaving it in the chuck (Cheers Rob Axon). Engine looks Pukka, have you considered putting the parts in the oven to cure the finish? (yer missus will be delighted!) This would harden the paint to be less prone to damage when assembling the motor/install in frame. Once the motor is running the paint will harden further.
