Thank you gents i have passed on youre comments to 'The Wood Butcher' (Peter) who was shocked since this is a bike site. Decided to stop the rot and get the panels 'treated' so sent them for shot blasting. RIMG0006.JPG RIMG0007.JPG £400 later i picked them up and took them to a mate in Aldershot wh...

Do they need to be off-set at the bottom eyelet or is that a thing of the past?

J1/2/3 Paint / Decals placement

Just getting the J body work re-painted and have bought the decals to go on it. Trial fitted them and they look too short on the tank. Could someone post a picture of the front and rear if possible so i can get a measure of the 'set-back' from the front welded seam and where they wrap round to meet ...

That head looks alittle like a unitrak one. You say youve rebored so what pistons are you using? Next oversize standard types or Wiseco's or something similar? If they are raised comp some care will be needed here. I take it that the masking off of the head was done as pictured but you had the cam c...

Many thanks Gary its a good link as i hadnt seen them. They look a little 'high mileage' for what i want and cant guarantees they wont need slides and jetting so will pass.
Picky i know but i want a set of known heritage if i go the second hand route hence the wanted add here.

hi. can any body tell me if a set of gsxr750 29mm flatesides carbs. are better than the standerd carbs on my 1100r??and would they fit.. Very Happy and make it run better... Couldn't say for sure but 29mm is a little small in my opinion. You will get very high gas speed through the venturi and may ...

That seems to be the case. As they age you may find yourself elongating the holes to get what you want. Be certain that you time both pickups as they are both moveable on the plate. Similarly ensure you have the corect clearance between the moving magnet and the tiny pickup point on the fixed bodies...

RS 34 or RS 36 Radial series Flatslides

Looking for a set of recent Mikuni flatslides prefer 34mm but would also look at 36mm.
These are for GPz 1100 or 1170 top end so D21-K or D3-K format.

Will buy new if no recent types show up.

Many thanks

Unitrack 1100 B's and P's

Only got the J and B manual so looking for data for the Unitrack barrels and pistons please. Bore is 72.5mm standard for B's and Unitrack Correct? Pistons diameter for J's i have in the manual but this is irrelevant here. Anyone got piston diameter and service limit for piston to cylinder clearance ...

As Jack says above plus; There is a possibility of boring youre own barrels to either 1076 or 1105cc. Both these kits if still available come with 17mm pins and so no need to change anything. You might be aware that when boring standard 1089 barrels to get the 1170 kit in, some unscrupulous people w...

Wern't there some other 'light corrected' pictures that baby bear organised with her BF?
Congratulations on winning the trophy too. That would be one of my all time aspirations if i wasnt so dis-organised. Respect for; an award richly deserved.
