Are you sure it is the carbs? Lots of time and money is spent tinkering with carbs only to find out that there is something else going on. I would still try swapping fuel pipes over, when you check fuel levels in carbs they have had time to fill up.

I had a similar problem, I fitted a pingel fuel tap and the bike ran a lot better.

It was great to finally meet a few club members at the Ace Cafe today, some top notch bkes as well. I did get a bit damp on the way home as predicted. It was worth it though. I am off to start cleaning my bike Now!

I had all sorts of problems with the original tap, I purchased an oem copy, turned out to be rubbish. I bit the bullet and got a Pingel high flow petcock, no more problems. Probably not what you wanted to hear, but if I ever buy another classic Japanese bike a pingel petcock will be the first thing ...

Back in the day my mate used to build chops in his living room, he had cut down drag bars which he would use just to get the finished bikes out of the living room. He built several nice chops in there, after his missis left.

Here a picture of a set of z900a4 I got from a guy in the states, I paid about £200 for the lot. I didn't have to pay duty because there is the owners manual which is classed as litrature and is exempt fo duty.
