Hi all,Can anyone let me know the correct compression rating i should be getting when engine is cold on my Z1B? i have seen various values stated from 100 psi (service limit) to 150 psi....Cheers Pauljac...

Hi All,My Clutch perch at the moment has a 10mm x 1.5 thread too loose for the mirror thread,what size helicoil would i need to fit to refit the standard mirror??

Hi Never used helicoil before you say 10mm i have checked the thread in the post and it is 10mm x 1.5,what thread is the one on the mirror?is a 10mm helicoil a standard thread pitch?or do i need a specific one for the thread on the mirror i have miked the o/d on the mirror thread and it is 10mm.,,,,...

Hi All,As i have had to take off the head of My Z1b again will i be able to re-use the new head gasket i fitted first attempt or is it false economy and should i buy another one(the engine never ran with gasket on and it looks unmarked)

Hi All i have a very early American import A4 (77th built) the clutch lever post
thread for the mirror is knackered,i have been loocking for a replacement but can only find the ones with the micro switch in any ideas where i can find one or ideas how to repair original?,,,,,,,

Thanks for that debben1,i have been told the max you can take off a valve stem is .3mm or 12 thou is that correct.When i have done that how would you go about checking installed valve spring height?.Would you be able to provide oversize valves if not succesful with this?.I have worked out i will nee...

Hi Mate, Seems they did cut new profiles for valve seats thats were i have lost my clearances seems i may have to get .3 mm lopped off each stem.if that fails its new seat inserts on head Bugger..........

Bugger... Checked clearances today with 180 shim Pigford has kindly lent to me
can only get 3 thou clearance even with this, looking like having some lopped off ends of valve stems to try and get back within tolerance.....
