The coils arnt to close to the tank so when it's fitted they either short out on it or it pushes them onto the frame and shorts them. ?? Seem to recall seeing a post about this being a problem with Dynacoils - hopefully someone will be along soon that has a better memory than me :roll: or is better...

Thanks for the tips lads - but got the bastard - a dodgy solder joint on the back of the ignition switch - sometimes it was good, sometimes not - resoldered and back in action
