yes the round type is the one you need with the white plastic fluid holder not the full metal body like the z1's

also forgot to mention if the dampers are leaking then its the bin i'm afraid,and make sure the damper rods are free of rust as this will damage the seal .

its easy to do if you can compress the old springs as the top collet comes out easily ,then its just a matter of putting on a new set of springs and re installing the chrome cover and top collet ....job done

easy to fix that though,and it really looks like a zed ,so many do away with the clocks and headlight that give the unmistakeable zed appearance.
all in all a very nice looking bike :wink:

my buddy tim fitted a z1000 motor into a z650 frame but man it was tight and he had to remove a lug if i recall correctly ,he also had to do some other mods to it ,i do know it wasn't as easy as he first thought. but good luck if youre gonna do it ,i think i would slap it into a z1000 frame as they ...

greg ,i used to run one of my 73 z1's on 29smoothies with std airbox ,she was way better than single filters ,plus ive a feeling that the carbs didn't need as much synching as the singles
