Ignition switch for GPZ1100B1
Hi, I have a US import GPZ1100B1. The ignition switch is knackered and any key will turn it. I’ve had a search for a new switch but none seem to be like mine. It has the steering lock pin coming out from the bottom of the lock, not the side. Any idea where I can get one or maybe it’s possible to dis...

Refurbishing disks
Hi,
I want to refurbish the appearance of the disks on a GPZ1100
The inside bit that the pads don’t touch is silver.
Any idea what original coating they would have had to stop them rusting and what I could do to make them look new again ?
Thanks

Tapered swing arm bearings
Hi folks, So a while back I picked up a JMC deep braced swing arm for my GPZ1100 B1. It’s a steel one, not ally. The JMC has taper bearings where the original one has needle roller bearings. After a google I can see you can get taper bearings for some swing arms. How’s this gonna work ? If I tighten...

How to dissolve crystallised brake fluid
Hi Guys, I am refurbishing the front brakes on a GPZ1100B1. The master cylinder was full of crystallised brake fluid. I can easily get most of it out but cannot get into the space behind the viewing window where you see the brake fluid level Is there anything I can soak it in to clean it up and diss...

Brake rebuild lubrication
Hi All, So I’m completely rebuilding the brakes on an old GPZ11. New seals, pistons etc. When putting the clean dry bits together they obviously need lubricating. After a google, some are saying to use silicon grease, some to use brake fluid and even soaking new seals in brake fluid first. Is there ...

GPZ1100 head
Hi,
I’m after a head for a GPZ1100B1
the bike is converted to carbs so if a z1000j head would fit that would be fine as I would just blank off where injectors go anyway.
Thanks

Bike needs new rings
