Re: KZ1000A1
Nearly finished the resto of my A1. This weekend had to re set the valve timing (following a bit of stupidity on my part), did the valve clearances (2 new shims), had to fit a new Cam idler gear as the old one was very suspect. Planned on fitting the Busso replica exhaust system but only managed the...

Re: Hens Teeth - Z900A4 Rear Light Bracket
Thanks chaps - some good leads.
As costly as the shipping is for the US complete unit, it might yet be my best, as I also need a new rear light unit to replace the round 1972-75 unit wrongly fitted to my Z900A4.
Cheers Tim

Its for the short US mudguard - currently has the 72-75 round light and duck tail fitted, looks nice but was trying to put her back to standard.

Hens Teeth - Z900A4 Rear Light Bracket
Hi folks, I know its a bit optimistic, but does anyone have for sale a spare rear light bracket for a Z900A4 / Z1000A1. think Kawa part No is: 23036-046 I've sourced a good one in the US but sadly they want a trillion dollars in shipping. Please let me know if you've got one you for sale. Thanks Tim

Re: Engine crash bars
Think they look a set of Campagnolo wheels, used to fit them to Ducati and Guzzi sports models in the 70's. My mate is doing a Guzzi project and considered a replica set from Marvic, until he checked out the price: seriously expensive  http://www.twowheelclassics.co.uk/catalogue/campagnolowhe...

Bill, hi
Re the 900RS, really like the bike - looks great with a nice balance of power, brakes handling etc, only negatives for me are fast idle which is way too intrusive, and a very abrupt initial throttle response: but I suppose you get used to it. You pleased with yours ?
Cheers Tim

Re: Bodywork painting
Hi, in the past i used Dream Machine and had excellent results, although I recognise that's not always been the case for other forum members. Following feedback from several Z1OC members I've recently used Sean Dewis in Ilkeston: he knows his stuff when it comes to old Zeds and has done a great job ...

Bill, hi Good and bad news - couple of pics attached Good news first, is that I found the surplus baffle amongst the mountain of bits that was once my H1f :eek Bad news is that whilst its solid the threaded screw mount has something fused into the threads - looks like the old screw, and will need dr...

Re: h1
Bill, I did have a spare H1f baffle (in good condition) somewhere in my garage about a year ago, but i've not seen it lurking in my pile of H1f odds and sods recently , but I'll have a look tomorrow and see if I can locate it. If I find it Ill give you a shout.

Re: Fuel pipe
Snowy, in the past I've also used some hose from Z Power and its gone rigid before fitted my tank on  - was only used a couple of times from my auxilliary petrol tank - now thrown it in the bin. Since changed to Nitrile (NBR) - its meant to be far more resistant, and does seem better. Cheers ...
