Re: Any Midlands Meets Near Birmingham?

Andrew there isn't Area groups as such, just Area Reps, you'd have to start a topic on discussion board
for any pics of Rallies etc that Phil attended I would suggest is the best way to find out?

Andrew_s wrote:Gents, sorry to blister onto this thread but who is the Midland's Rep and what is his forum name?

Thanks
Andrew

The Mids rep is Karen, her forum name is Muckmagnet.
She is off unwell at the moment, which is why no
meets have been organised for some time now.

Re: What's it worth?

All I'm saying is, I can't see the point in making what was virtually an A4 tank without a locking cap
to replace the NOS Z1 shape tank. Just an opinon.

Re: What's it worth?

I can't understand why Kawasaki would bother making a showing seam tank
without the locking cap as they did on the A4, must have cost a bit in the re-tooling for the A4 locking cap :Oo

Re: What's it worth?

Yeah true, these tanks must be rare, basically A4 with Z1, Z1A, or Z1B spray jobs.

Re: What's it worth?

Interesting, did the replacement they ordered for you have a locking cap like the A4 did? Also the increased fuel capacity on the A4 tank, the shape of the tank was now a bit bigger on top. So it looks as though Kawasaki must have been supplying the newer shape tanks with seams showing (A4), sprayed...

Re: What's it worth?

I can assure you it's not an early tank because I have both to compare. The early ones do have a seam of course, but it's underneath out of sight when on the bike.
