Starter motor & modded sump

Sump Standard sump (Z1R etc) with oil gate. Nicely done (maybe by ATP) and in great condition with no damage. Includes drain plug. Starter motor Replaced but found the culprit to be the rotor spinning on the shaft so now surplus to requirements. This is the 2 brush type as fitted to the Z1R D1 but ...

Re: Stardust TC

Will do Garry. Fired up instantly and idles perfectly, a rarity with these oversized turbo bikes but the big capacity helps keep the turbine spinning at very low RPM. The rotor seems to be spinning on the crank as the starter is slipping despite new rollers and springs plus replacement starter. Ther...

Re: Z 1000 tacho

I take it these are the style of gauges from your R2? Basically the GT55p, GPz550 and GT750 all have the same range from 0 - 12k regardless of redline so the workings might drop straight in. The gauge plate mounting dimensions are also identical. The only difference is that yours doesn't have a volt...

Re: ZRX1200

Be aware that with some "pod kits" the manufacturer of the kit (Dynojet etc) require the slides to be drilled. If you refit the standard airbox, diaphragm spings, needles and jets then it may run a bit wooly just above idle.

Re: Z1r z1000 cylinder head

I have a very nice and complete head that I covered in ACF50. Don't think it's a D1 head but 99% sure it's an A2 head so you'd need to flat the outer fins and paint it black. It's complete as in followers & matching caps (maybe even valve train, can't remember but can look). I also have spare ca...

Re: Stardust TC

Hey Will, do you have to bend out the brake pedal a bit to use that clutch cover extension??? Rob Yes Rob, I reprofiles a bit to clear. You also have to bring out the RH rider peg a little which I didn't mind as the LH rider peg also needs bringing out a little to help with the typical TC sidestand...
