these are pipes from the seventies! ........ and where they should remain. :wink: Wot! You don't like these classic trumpet pipes, parallel to the ground. I expect someone will put 4 into 4's on after they purchase this original long rear tail resto from the seventies. Just Aus $12000 Ebay end Oct....

Are you sure it's an A4 tank?......

The later Z thou tank while looking pretty much identical is actually narrower across the frame opening.

Having checked out date codes from what I have to hand, I have a letter U stamped on the shocks, what looks like 01 or 81 7 22 number inside the points cover, and 6 11, and 6 12 stamped on the handlebar controls, nothing on the carbs that I can see, so what should be the date stamp for the discs ? ...

what date discs do You need Not sure the date disc, just undrilled front and rear 1977 a, trying to restore one, if that helps Paul Do you know when your Thou was built David?. As above. If you can see anything behind you much past 20mph there's a chance they're genuine.

I used some silicon behind the glass on an old pattern set and it improved them no-end.
